He was brought to the Bay area by Sky Concepts.  Haha i was privileged to go see him in concert with his sexy fine self. The hall was packed full of people too, "Ladies....its Iyanya". i enjoyed all the songs he sang but the only thing i wish he would have done was perform your waist with Emma Nyra. Ahh Classic!!!. But anyway my oxygen supply got caught off when his shirt was ripped off. And why am i still here today? It is by the fabulous grace of God.                         ...

THIS MARRIAGE THING

Image
The marriage topic is interesting an can also be sensitive too. Lately most couples have been making unanimous decisions to get married and thereby increasing the amount of ankara i have decide to accumulate as aso ebi in my closet. It is a blessing to support couples who have made the big decision to do life together forever but really how long is that forever. Apart from the vows one will give at the altar "for better for worse" "for richer and for poor" "in sickness and in in health", "till death do us (them)part, how many of these vow actually last forever. I don't know if some people actually sit down to think out the significance of these vows before getting married or are those words just part of the ceremony, it is a question because nowadays ladies are most especially interested in getting the ring, putting on a dress and having a grand wedding reception and dealing with the real meaning of the vows later. SPARE THE ROD AND SPOIL THE CHILD

The things that are happening these days are very ridiculous, compared to the days of age when I was born and raised, some of the things that these younglings do these days, one cant try it in the days of old. Back in the late 80s and early 90s when I was growing up, my mom would only give an instruction once, if she had to repeat herself, it would be with "koboko". For me it was not necessarily the cane itself, "koboko" could be a dirty slap, the soles of my moms shoes, any wooden spoon used in making fufu or garri or the twigs from the trees in the garden, the fear of those things alone was the beginning of wisdom for me. There was this fear that parents invested in their children, the fear of "if you mess up you are dead", these days it is the children who run things, some parents cant even correct their own children, the kids are remote controlling their parents. I met a parent who could not even tell her daughter "no". She always told her ...

THE SUNGLASSES SYNDROME.

Image
When the solar eclipse came I didn’t use sunglasses to observe it so why in the world am I going to wear sunglasses at night or indoors for an extended period of time. Like seriously, unless you have serious eye sensitivity to light or stone drunk, why in the world would you wear sunglasses at night? I wear sunglasses during the day and in my car while driving to protect my eyes from the glaring rays of the sun.Why would I punish myself and wear them indoors inside a night club with neon and disco ball lights on? Literally I would interpret it as temporary blindness. It is a form of fashion these days to wear sunglasses at night, like swag. In my own opinion, it is not very appealing,I can tolerate when people wear sunglasses indoors because they either have “pink eye”, they got into a fight or they simply forgot to take them off. Sunglasses are usually on sale during winter months, in that bleak murky weather, why do I find people rocking them like the sun is putting focus beams on...
